Fetchr – Privacy Policy

Fetchr (“we”, “our”, “the App”) provides courier and delivery services for clients and drivers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Fetchr mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Home or business address
• Pickup and drop-off locations
• Profile photo or uploaded images

1.2 Authentication & Account Data

• Login credentials (email and password)
• Account type (client or driver)

1.3 Location Data

Drivers: Live GPS location during delivery for tracking and navigation.
Clients: Location may be used for address selection or map-based features.

1.4 Photos & Media

We access your device camera or gallery only when you choose to upload images such as profile photos or job-related pictures.

1.5 Messages

We store communication between clients and drivers to help with job coordination.

1.6 Device Information

We may collect basic device information such as operating system and device type. We do not collect unique device identifiers (IMEI, advertising IDs).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage user accounts
• Allow clients to post and manage delivery jobs
• Allow drivers to quote on and complete jobs
• Provide live courier tracking
• Enable messaging between users
• Improve app performance and safety
• Provide customer support

3. Legal Basis

For UK/EU users, we rely on:

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase/Google Cloud services with encrypted communications, hashed passwords, and role-based access controls.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We only share data with:

• Drivers (client details needed to complete a job)
• Clients (driver details needed for delivery)
• Service providers such as Firebase

We may share information if required by law.

6. Permissions Used

• Camera – for uploading photos
• Storage – store uploaded images
• Location – live driver tracking
• Internet – app connectivity

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your Fetchr account from within the app. When deleted, personal information is removed or anonymised. Some job records may be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for users under 18 years old.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting support.
